Hi all. I'm curious if any of you have used Jillian Michaels' 14 Day Cleanse & Burn, and if so, what your results were. Also, tell me if there were any major side effects. I'm thinking of buying it, but I want some more information and reviews first. Thanks.

I'd tried every diet out there, and was considering bariatric surgery right before I walked into my first meeting. I'm so grateful I found Overeaters Anonymous. This has been a long journey.

I'm still wrestling with the body image issues, of course. Some days I still feel like 230 pounds inside. But I've grown so much emotionally and spiritually. This is a lifelong process...

Okay I'm ready to upgrade my Yoga dvd. I have been doing Susan Deason's Lower Body Yoga for beginners and I'm ready for more of a challenge. I am by NO MEANS advanced but want to try something a tad more advanced and different. I need an intermediate. Suggestions/Recommendations?

I'm thinking of Hard Body Yoga, but it may be TOO much of a challenge. I like the reviews though.

Hey all,

I just joined this community today. I figured it was a good idea considering I started my diet today :) I'm currently around the 80kilo mark, but I want to get down to 60. So I've got a nice long slog ahead of me. But I'm feeling confident (as most people do on day one I'm sure).

I'm basically trying to lose lifestyle weight. When I moved out of home, I quit dancing (jazz tap and ballet) and embraced a social life filled with alcohol and junk food etc etc. Amazing how fast the weight pilled on.

So I'm trying to get back on track.
I'm welcome to any comments or support.
I'd love some fellow weight loss friends :)

3 1/2-4 pounds down, a lot more to go.

But it's a good start, anyhow. I've been on the program (Weight Watchers) 9 days now. Not too shabby. :)

Here's hoping next week will be just as productive. Fridays are my weigh-in days.

Hi. I just joined this community. It has been five months since I had my baby, and I'm finally getting into the idea of shedding the baby flab (I didn't hold onto any weight - I actually weighed less after she was born than I did before I got pregnant!). I'm somewhere between 200 and 225 now (for obvious reasons I don't weigh myself much), and want to get down to about 140 or 150 (I'm only 5'4", so this is a decent goal that won't leave me too thin.)

I was with LA Weight Loss four or five years ago, and lost a LOT (like 50 pounds). But I can't afford them anymore, and was looking into the Weight Watchers online program (The Points system). Is there anybody out there who has done this and can tell me about it? I'm wanting to try it so badly, but I'm afraid it won't work.

I've spent all day looking through the success stories, but still can't decide. They all have the usual "*Results not typical" disclaimer, but so did LA Weight Loss. I was one of those people who lost the "*Results not typical" amount of weight on that program, but I don't know if that will work for me again.

I'm 30 years old, and my birthday is in 10 days. I don't want to face my early 30's feeling like a blob. Any information anyone has would be most appreciated!

Thanks.

I need a good pair of tight workout pants.  I like capri pants (just below the knee).  Pants that are lightweight, thin, but still are strong enough to hold you up/in.  ( I don't like to feel my lower belly fat floppin around when I'm working out )

I like Danskin products but they don't seem they have what I'm looking for.  And I'm a Size 14/16 and some places don't carry larger exercise pants.

Anyone had any luck with Sport Authority or Oshman's.......etc?   Where do you purchase your workout clothes?

Hello everyone.

I am a long time reader, first time poster.

My name is Chazz and I weighed 340 lbs at the start of my weight loss. My goal is 200-210 lbs.

I started working out five days a week in October doing a mix of cardio-aerobic work on the treadmill and strength training on the weight machines.

So far I have lost about 20 lbs and an very encouraged in what I have seen so far. My clothes are looser and I am making it through my workout without being short of breath or having to slow down in the middle.

I hope to keep losing weight at the rate of 1-2 lbs a week. To do this I am following what I call the 500 calorie plan. No, this does not mean I am only eating 500 calories a day. Far from it. The 500 calorie plan works under the idea that in order to lose one pound per week you need a caloric deficit of 500 calories per day. I get this through my treadmill work out which burns on average 450 calories in about 35 minutes. The rest of the calories are cut by reducing food intake. In my case I have practically eliminated soda from my diet.

I will let you all know how my weight loss goes. I hope to have shed at least 75 lbs by November and maybe even reach my goal by next Christmas.
